Zappa Gets Eagle Rock's Classic Album TreatmentFrank Zappa is ready to command the attention of many as Eagle Rock Entertainment releases a Zappa installment of their Classic Album DVD series. The May 1 release will spotlight the recording sessions of Over-Nite Sensation and Apostrophe, originally released in 1973 and 1974 respectfully. The collection also features additional material not found on the broadcast version of Classic Albums, including a 1973 taping of Montana from Los Angeles' Roxy Theatre and a 1976 Saturday Night Live performance of "I'm The Slime." The DVD will host interviews with Zappa's wife, Gail, as well as his children Moon, Dweezil and Ahmet, along with friends and colleagues Billy Bob Thorton, Alice Cooper, Steve Vai and Warren Cuccurullo. Cheap Trick to perform Beatles 'Sgt Pepper's' in LA
Cheap Trick are set to perform The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in Los Angeles from start to finish in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the landmark album.
The performance will take place at the Hollywood Bowl on August 10 and 11.
The American rockers will be accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra as well as Aimee Mann, Joan Osborne and other special guests.
In addition to performing the entire album, the artists will play several Beatles favourites including 'Magical Mystery Tour', 'Norwegian Wood' and 'Eleanor Rigby'.
